East Meets West
On June 10, 2021 the Salon, in collaboration with the Consulate General of India New York, presented our East Meets West concert, featuring the exciting Ulysses Quartet, representing the West, and the talendted young Indian artists Jay Gandhi, bansuri (Indian flute) and Dibyarka Chatterjee, tabla, for the East, culminating in a sublime collaboration between East and West.

Musical Soul of Hungary
On May 3, 2021 the Salon, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Hungary in New York, presented the Musical Soul of Hungary, featuring inspiring performances by American pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner and Salon de Virtuosi 2014 Career Grant Winner Béla Horvath, violin, and the rising young Korossy Quartet, who will be joined us from Budapest.

Spring Song from Japan
On March 29, 2021, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan in New York, the Salon de Virtuosi was delighted to present a special virtual concert of chamber music, Spring Song From Japan, featuring inspiring performances by The Horszowski Trio, described by the New York Times as "one of the most compelling American groups to come on the scene," who performed from the Residence of Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi in New York, and the dynamic young Quartet Amabile, winners of the 2019 Young Concert Artists International Auditions and numerous other international competitions who joined us from Oji Hall in Tokyo.

Valentine Piano Extravaganza
On February 16, 2021 the Salon presented a special virtual Valentine Piano Extravaganza, featuring performances by pianists Elliot Wuu, a Young Steinway Artist who was also named a 2018 Gilmore Young Artist, and Chelsea Guo, top prize winner of the 2020 National Chopin Competition who also performed vocal selections together with pianist Eden Chen.

New Year's Concert
On January 19, 2021 the Salon de Virtuosi presented a special virtual New Year’s Concert, featuring performances and interviews with violinist Kevin Zhu, winner of the 2018 International Paganini Competition and cellist Jonah Ellsworth. Kevin was joined by renowned pianist Rohan De Silva, and Jonah performed with his colleague, pianist Chungho Lee.

2020 Holiday Concert
On December 17, 2020 the Salon de Virtuosi presented a special virtual Holiday Concert in celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, featuring performances and interviews with violinist Randall Goosby, recipient of the Sphinx Organization’s Isaac Stern Award and pianist Hilda Huang, who just began her studies at the Doctoral Program at the Juilliard School.

A Czech Serenade
In collaboration with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York, on November 9, 2020 the Salon de Virtuosi presented a special virtual concert, Czech Serenade, featuring performances and interviews with Czech violinist Julie Svěcená, winner of numerous international competitions and cellist Sterling Elliott, winner of the 2019 Sphinx Competition and a bright rising star.

Last summer, at the outset of the pandemic, the Salon de Virtuosi was thrilled to present our Salon Alumni Spotlight Series celebrating the talent and creativity of our distinguished Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant Winners, premiered on The Violin Channel, featuring performances by our distinguished alumni Sean Lee, violin, Terrence Wilson, piano, Maron Khoury, flute, Amit Peled, cello, Reed Tetzloff, piano, Bella Hristova, violin, and Vassily Primakov, piano.
